FEATURED PRODUCTS

Nutrisphere-N

Where some nitrogen-fertilizer “enhancers” operate for hours or days by killing the spectrum of soil bacteria, NutriSphere-N manages nitrogen fertilizer, protecting it at the molecular level

It’s good science and good environmental stewardship.

  • Where urease typically encourages volatilization, NutriSphere-N controls urease, keeping it from robbing your nitrogen — or your yield potential.
  • Some soil bacteria work with enzymes to convert nitrogen fertilizer into nitrates that are prone to leaching and volatilization. Others don’t. NutriSphere-N selectively inhibits unwanted chemical reactions without turning your growing fields into battle fields
  • Plants can do more with nitrogen in its ammonium form than they can with nitrates. So NutriSphere-N protects nitrogen in its ammonium state before it gets converted, giving you the greatest return on your nitrogen fertilizer investment.

Answers to Common Questions

  • What is the difference between NutriSphere-N and nitrogen enhancers?
Rather than simply slowing the solubility of granular nitrogen fertilizer, NutriSphere-N reduces urea volatilization- the conversion of ammonium fertilizer to nitrates- in the soil
  • How long is NutriSphere-N effective in the soil?
NutriSphere-N lasts a full growing season.
  • Can I pre- treat and leave Nutrisphere-N on urea in a bin or in a tank of UAN?
Yes. Granular urea may coat easier and dry faster than prilled urea. Prilled urea may require the addition of a small amount of drying agent (powdered clay, etc.)
  • What is the difference between NutriSphere-N for urea and NutriSphere-N for liquid?
Specific formulations ensure the best efficiency with dry and liquid nitrogen products.
  • Can I mix NutriSphere-N on urea and AVAIL on dry phosphate in the same blend?
Yes. Treat each fertilizer separately before creating your blend; refer to label instructions for proper fertilizer treatment.
  • Is NutriSphere-N in UAN compatible with herbicides?
At this time there are no known incompabilities, but tests have not been run on every possible herbicide combination. It is recommended to perform a jar test for physical compatibility.
  • Are there any mixing requirements with NutriSphere-N and UAN?
Recirculate as you would if mixing any liquid product with UAN
  • Will NutriSphere-N freeze and if so, is heated storage required?
NutriSphere-N will freeze near 0 degrees F, and returns to normal upon thawing.
  • Can I add NutriSphere-N to 32-0-0 when I cut it to 28-0-0 for storage?
Adding NutriSphere-N to the 28-0-0 mix will help ensure that the concentration is correct, but if dilution is taken into account, it can be added to the 32-0-0.
  • Can NutriSphere-N be added to manures?
There is no recommendation for use of NutriSphere-N with manure.
  • Can I cut nitrogen rates when using NutriSphere-N?
Always use adequate rates of nitrogen for your yield goals along with NutriSphere-N to maximize your nitrogen efficiency.
